Today, the Texas House Republican Caucus issued the following statement upon Representative Ryan Guillen announcing he will be switching to the Republican Party:
“It was an honor to join Representative Ryan Guillen as he announced he will be joining the Republican Party, alongside House Speaker Dade Phelan and Governor Greg Abbott. The Texas House Republican Caucus warmly welcomes Representative Guillen as one of its newest members. For many years, we have worked with Representative Guillen on like-minded issues, knowing that he is dedicated to making Texas the best place to work, live, and raise a family. We applaud his new commitment to the Republican Party and look forward to serving with him in the Texas House.”
